Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using whittingtonwoodscampground.com (the "Site") or making a reservation at Whittington Woods Campground ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our Site or making a reservation, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this website, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time; changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site.

Use of the Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others. You must not:

Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations. Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material (spam). Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or its related systems or networks. Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Site.

Reservations & Availability

Reservations made through our website are subject to site availability and confirmation by our staff. Submission of a reservation request does not guarantee a specific site or site type. Site availability, pricing, and promotions are subject to change without notice. A valid government-issued photo ID may be required at check-in. All reservations must be made by an adult 18 years of age or older.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in and check-out times are as posted on our website or communicated at the time of reservation. Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request and are subject to availability and additional fees. Failure to check out by the designated time may result in an additional night's charge.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation requests must be submitted by phone at (618) 435-3401 or by email at whittingtonwoodscampground@gmail.com. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund less any applicable processing fees. Cancellations made 7 to 14 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to modify our cancellation policy for holidays, special events, and peak season dates. Any modified cancellation terms will be communicated at the time of booking.

Campground Rules & Guest Conduct

All guests are expected to follow our campground rules at all times. By making a reservation, you agree to the following:

Quiet hours are strictly enforced. Excessive noise during quiet hours may result in immediate removal without refund. All fires must be contained to designated fire rings and must be fully extinguished before leaving your site or going to sleep. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times and are the sole responsibility of their owner. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. Speed limits within the campground must be observed at all times. Alcohol consumption is the responsibility of the individual and must comply with Illinois state law. Damage to campground property, facilities, or natural features will result in charges to the responsible guest.

Whittington Woods Campground reserves the right to remove any guest who violates campground rules without refund.

Vehicles & Camping Equipment

Each site fee includes a designated number of vehicles as posted at the time of reservation. Additional vehicles may be subject to extra fees. Guests are responsible for ensuring their camping equipment, RVs, and vehicles comply with site size limitations. Whittington Woods Campground is not responsible for damage to vehicles or equipment resulting from use of campground roads, sites, or facilities.

Assumption of Risk & Safety

Outdoor camping involves inherent risks including but not limited to uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, weather events, and physical activity. By making a reservation and visiting our campground, you acknowledge and assume these risks. Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of all members of their party, including minors. Whittington Woods Campground is not liable for injuries, illness, or death resulting from participation in outdoor activities at or near our property.

Insurance

Whittington Woods Campground does not provide insurance coverage for guests, their vehicles, camping equipment, or personal belongings. Guests are encouraged to obtain appropriate travel, renter's, or camping insurance prior to their stay. We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property regardless of cause.

SMS Communication Terms

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to SMS communications, you agree to receive text messages from Whittington Woods Campground relating to your reservation, arrival reminders, campground updates, and other relevant communications.

Consent is not required as a condition of making a reservation or visiting our campground. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us directly at (618) 435-3401. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your reservation activity and interactions with us.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and photography — is the property of Whittington Woods Campground or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our express written permission.

Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13. All reservations must be made by an adult 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
